HYVAL is Valganciclovir tablets, an anti-viral drug. It is actually a prodrug for ganciclovir. After oral administration, it rapidly convert into ganciclovir by intestinal and hepatic esterases. HYVAL is used to prevent disease caused by a virus called CMV in people who have received a heart, kidney, or kidney-pancreas transplant.
